Supervision level:

The supervision level for this program is HIGH.  This program is intended for 13-17 year olds, some of whom will be on their own for the first time.  School monitors accompany students under 16 at all times.

For student 16 and over, parents can choose one of the following Permission to Go Out options:

1) Students are not free to leave campus unchaperoned at any time

2) Students are free to leave campus and explore Shanghai in groups of two or more from 4:30 PM to 11:00 PM.

Students who do not have permission to go out unchaperoned will find many entertaining evening activites organized by school staff. 

Residence staff will enforce the above curfews and students must always tell campus staff where they are going and when they plan to return to campus.  Student will be provided with a 24-hour emergency contact # which they must carry with them at all times.

If students are not behaving in a manner considered acceptable for their age it could result in expulsion from the program without refund.  

Students 16 and over are free go out without a staff member in the afternooon on Friday and Sunday only if they have written permission from a parent or legal guardian.  No students are allowed to go out unsupervised in the evening.
